This system has all the functionality of our LWCT1, but it is 40% lighter! It incorporates a premium Doulton Sterasyl® silver-impregnated ceramic candle-mount cartridge that makes the unit self-sterilizing and eliminates the need for boiling. Incorporated into the ceramic element is a second stage carbon block media which contains a resin to remove unhealthy lead.
This filter can be depended upon to remove over 99.99% of pathogenic organisms including E. Coli, Shigella, Salmonella and Klebsiella bacteria, and 99.999% of cyst producting pathogens like Cryptosporidium and Giardia. It will preserve beneficial alkaline minerals and produce water that is delicious and ideal for drinking or making your favorite beverages.
Continuous supply means you can't run out of filtered water. The LWTR1 features a slimline white polypropylene housing with a lead-free, long-reach spout and chrome diverter valve. It is supplied with a Doulton 10DUC1000 Ultracarb™ cartridge, a faucet adaptor package, and an extra silicone "O" ring.
